Darling and me went to Jurong Point for dinner after nua-ing at his house for the whole Sunday afternoon. We could decide what to eat as most of the things that we want to eat is packed with people. I suggest that we go to have our dinner at the small restaurant inside the food court. After some browsing, we decide to have Baek Doo San.
I was attracted by their Korean deco and they also have a TV that show some Korean cook show. However, I would say that the overall experience is pretty average.
The menu is simple zen style very much like its deco too.
The appetizer that are served to us before the start of the meal.
The place is small yet the waitress are not attentive to notice my darling’s hand.
Me camwhoring at the restaurant.
The Korean way of BBQ-ing
Not to forget asking my darling to camwhore too.
The drink arrived first. I noticed that I ordered rice water drink and darling ordered a Pear Juice. I would say my drink doesn’t taste that nice but I discover that it is effective against clearing all the taste from the previous food and darling Pear Juice is sweet like a pear and I still find traces of apple taste too. Both the drink cost S$3! I know freaking expensive la…

Flip and flip but still got burnt meat. I guess I am really bad at this.
Total damage at the restaurant.
Overall review: I would say the atmosphere and the surrounding is great for a Korean restaurant, however what is important is the food must be delicious. I would say that I expected more from this restaurant and it failed terribly. Let’s start with their service, the restaurant itself is not big and at the point when we are having dinner, they is only like 3 other group customers. I dun see the reason for their slow serving. In addition, I think it would be better that the staff asked if we need help in the BBQ. We keep having burnt meat and the foil was so burnt that we decided to ask them to change. Not to mentioned, the next one was burned too.
Next is the Ginseng Chicken Soup. It is pretty tasteless for my taste. I am not sure if it is supposed to be tasteless or what but after the BBQ chicken, drinking this soup is really a challenge. The meat is a bit too soggy. In my view, usually the meat will not be that soggy but they also have a sessame powder as the condiments for the chicken and it taste nice with that powder. But since it is expensive, I expected more from the soup.
I would still go there but I will not recommend to others to go for dinner there.
