Ubah?

I learned this Malay word during my trip back. If you are wondering what it meant, it means change.

I am not a political person. No matter is Singapore or Malaysia politics, I just always see it as a third party aspect. I don’t get myself involved too much but I do not ignore things.

Kk did not vote on the previous elections but this time he voted. Though I told him that it is not simple issue to change a political party, he still have quite high hopes that BN will lose. All his brothers went back to vote all they all hope for a change.

As I was too tired to stay up last night and it is seriously not really my issue also so I fall asleep. The first question I asked kk today was did BN lose? He said no.

Seriously BN cheated. Go ahead and sue me! Even me as a foreigner is disgusted by the dirty tricks.

1. Import “foreign talent”
Malaysia used to make Malay their priority bur there is a shift in their attitude. Some Malays are also fed up with the government. So they import foreigners and make them citizens. These foreign talent citizen will surely vote for BN to ensure that their citizenship is still valid.

2. Ink your fingers
Tell me which country still use ink to ensure that the person has voted and there are no repeated vote. This is simply a conspiracy to make sure that more void votes.

PS: kk told me that the ink cost millions of RM and it is supposed to be not easily removed. That is just ridiculous right?

PPS: My grandfather-in-law just use soap to wash a few times and it is off. It will just leave u with a blue nail.

3. Send BN voters in.

Video speaks a thousand words. I don’t even need to explain. Don’t say they didn’t!!

I saw it with my own eyes when I was accompanying Kk to the voting place. The car has a small BN flag on top of their car, offering to send BN voters only. In addition, I saw on social media that they are sending foreigner in too.

4. Black out!?!
I saw in the social media that there is a black out of proof suddenly there is many more boxes not counted. Tell me how can this happen??

There are videos on facebook indicating that the delivery of the boxes!!

Seriously, I know politics is a dirty and smelly game but this sucks. Like Kk told me this morning, if BN won it fair and square. He wouldn’t feel so upset and disappointed. You see in Singapore at least there are people who supported PAP and opposition. I never heard one people who I know and followed supported BN!! So tell me, how did they win fair and square?? If I know last night what happened, I guess I couldn’t sleep. If one day, when Kk and me had children, we would not know how to explain to them what happen last night. How dirty it was and despicable to explain to kids!

Weekend to hometown (Part 1/2)

Posted on

It is this time of the year. Kk decided to vote for the first time. (Kk is a Singapore PR but a Malaysian in nationality.) I decided to also support him with the short 2 days weekend trip to his hometown. I shall not say which party is Kk voting but if you are clever enough, Kk told me it is time for a change. :)

I am blogging this post in his hometown’s home. Just managed to finish a lot of things with the total free time. I didn’t watch any video because the loading is just too slow and I do not want to waste them on such thing. I am also busy preparing the official launch of Vii-StarSG!! I managed to choose and edit the photos. When I mean editing is to make the colour as close to what I have seen in real life. I also edited off the transparent bra strap as it looks unpleasant in a blogshop photo.

This is our blogshop model Shamine. I told Nikki, I really need to slim down. She is really skinny like mad. I am so jealous~

I decided to blog my journey back here…

Since Kk went back on a Friday night for the election, apparently everyone thinks this way too. Everywhere was jam, jam and jam.

The cars are literially not moving…

The stupid maxis that don’t let me use because I have to topup before using it. Lol… I got S$16+ in my account.

An example of the amount of BN flags in johor!!~

The cyclist here even have the flag attached behind their bike. I heard they are giving money if people where to do this.

I can’t believe just how much flags and banners they had around Malaysia.

We then went to find Ah Kun because we will be driving one car back and Ah Kun’s car is bigger than Kk’s car. Since we need a quick bite, we settle our dinner at a mama tang near by. Imagine by the time we start to set off is like 9pm. Kk fetch me off work at 5pm and by the time we left is like only 6pm.

Ayam Nasi

Maggie Goreng

Ah Kun drove first then Kk took over for the second part. When Kk took over, I tried to stay awake but still fall asleep. The traffic was so slow after KL as many KL people also went back at that time.

See how jam it is?

Reached hometown around 5am. I then continue my sleep until 8+am.

A snapshot of the morning view before breakfast.

The BN canidate for his hometown.

Reached Kk’s godmother stall. She cooked the best Nasi Lemak I ever had.

The funny thing about the opposition is her name is 蔡依林(Cai Yi Ling)!! Wahaha…

Breakfast. Roti Prata~

Closer shot of Roti Prata~

The construction of the bridge between village. Kk said if BN lose, most likely they will stop the construction of this bridge.

My cute Jing Wen!

My Mother in law cooking. I dunno why but somehow her dishes are all great!!

Overall shot of the lunch.

You will never believe what is this. This is shark meat curry. I know I am being un-environmental friendly but I feel at least I eat the full shark so I am not being so cruel.

Mother in law also cook Asam Laksa!! Damn nice. I guess it is because she really put in enough ingredient.

Pre-mother’s Day celebration

Posted on

As I will be away on a short KL trip next week which is also Mother’s Day, I decided to celebrate Mother’s Day in advance. Initially did want to watch Iron Man 3 and then a dinner with my family. But because my dad was busy in the afternoon which affected our schedule. Nevertheless, I still managed to have a dinner with them.

#OOTD

Before dinner, I went to take a look at my house while fetching my dad and mum. I saw from forum that HDB change the Probable Completion date to 4th Quarter 2013, I sure is excited. I was hoping to move in to the new house. Though Kk and me got married for more than 1 year but not having a house of our own still make me feel like not stable.

This is my block!! I can’t wait really~

Then we went to Causeway point for dinner. Initially wanted to have Chinese cuisine but because it was labour day that day, all the restaurant are filled with people. In the end, we decided on Watami. Honestly, I got a love-hate relationship with Watami. I do like the types of food that they offer. The taste is relatively delicious too though the price is too the higher side as compared to other similar Japanese restaurant.

BUT!!

I hate the service there. Honestly, I am not those fussy customers who picked on every single thing but I think with the computerised systems, the staff is not only not making full use of it. I find their staff really very untrained. I understand that it is peak period but I believe in the F & B industry, they have to move fast and food have to be serve fast. My parents and husband ordered a Seafood and chicken pot rice. We knew that we have to wait for 10 min after this dish is served but the waiting time to serve this dish is just too long. We waited for another 20 minute for a whole pot of uncooked food?!? I seriously don’t understand why does it takes so long to prepare these. They are not even cooked in the first place. Okay, maybe they need to half cooked the food or what but what happen next is really unbelievable.

Next, my brother ordered a naba (Hot pot) but it took even longer time to prepare for it. He ordered later but the waiting time was like 25 min? Tell me, how does all these raw food need to take so much to put them into a pot. Shouldn’t them put them in the pot and prepare in advance especially they should have expected a crowd?

Then came the dessert. I ordered this honey toast before everyone finished their main course. I decided to check again later and the waiter told me it will another take 15min for the bread to be toasted. I told the person I waited for 10 min already but they said they still need 15min more. Imagine it take 25mins to have a dessert?? I suspect that the waiter taking my dessert order must have forgotten and they are only doing it after I asked them to check. In addition to that I did not come within 15min but 20min. I am fed up of all this waiting time. The Bishan Junction 8 branch and Jurong East branch were slow too but not to this extend of 1 hours of waiting time on food.

Okay, complained enough about it. The taste and variety of the food is good overall despite the dining experience. I love Mentai and Hotate so when I saw their Mentai potato Salad and butter hotate, I ordered immediately. I have been ordering this 2 dishes whenever I dine in there.

Assorted Skewer

I would hope that they will exclude beef skewer next time. I forgot to ask them to change so it is okay. (I can’t wat beef due to religion issue)

This taste reasonably good. It is not the best I have eaten but the hotate is quite fresh which also contribute to its flavour. A hint of lemon juice decrease its greasiness.

Ever since I start to be obsessed with Mentai, I will always order dishes with it. This salad is fantastic. Without the mentai, it will be tasteless but with cheese and mentai, it brings the creamy of the cheese and adding the mentai slightly salty flavour. One of the best mentai dishes that you can find in Singapore.

The waitress asked if my brother would want them to beat the egg and we agreed. I think it is a kind gesture from them. My brother love it. Though I do find it a bit salty to be eaten alone but if eating with rice, it taste just nice.

This photo taken after my dinner. I am not proud but I have to admit, it does look like a baby bump. T^T Time to slim down again. :(

Thanks for reading~

Learnt a lesson

I don’t where to start to talk about what happened.

Recently, I decided to reopen my spree website, I want to earn more money for my new house renovation, although spree don’t really let me earn that much due to the stiff competition. I still want to do my part for my new house. The joint account between Kk and me is now solely contribute by Kk only. I do feel a bit ashamed about my spending habits. But I know since I can’t changed them, I can only increase the money supply. I also venture into a new blogshop selling in stock items which I am busy preparing for it.

What seems like a risk free business is also risky. When I started doing spree, I have one customer who refuse to pay for the shipping and rather give me the spree item that she bought. I didn’t suffer much lose then. But this time round, I guess I was being too kind and naive to her. I shall name her as A (No naming of her until I final she won’t be paying me back). She said she is doing plus size preorder and she would like to order from me for long term basis. Being in business, I need long term customers so I really put in a lot of effort to guide her through the ordering. I was having my exams then but I still replied her regularly. She then assured me she will order from me and I trusted her since we were both from Yishun. She mentioned that she had yet to receive money from 2 of her customers, I said so long she transferred within this few days, I will accept her order.

I went on to place her order and even paid for them. You may wondered why I did that? I was going on overseas business trip last Monday to Wednesday and in order to expedite the shipping process to my agent’s place as she wanted the item to be in within 2 weeks. All I did for her, I chase the seller for her items and it was here 2 days before labour day. I decided to massage her because first she wanted the stuff earlier and second my agent make a mistake when ordering. I was asking if she could accept if not I am going to ask agent refund for its mistake. She did not reply from then on.

I will be giving her up to next Monday to reply me. If not I am going to report her to police, I may or may not win this case but I want the police station to have a record of her misdeed. I am not an unreasonable person, if she could just tell me what problem she is facing, I might help her if possible. I am someone who believe is win-win situation, taking legal action is my last resort.

PS: The lady contacted me as she had urgent matters to go to Malaysia and her phone spoil when she was in Malaysia which lead her to be unable to contact me.

Sunday Johor trip

Posted on

This is my 3rd Johor Sunday trip post. You can read the previous one from here and here.

Don’t judge me for being lazy but writing an outing post is more interesting than me writing about my life right? Kk like to go JB whenever he don’t want to stay at home or/and he doesn’t know what to do in Singapore. Spending at JB is so much better because it is cheaper and also. Kk’s 3rd brother stayed there so we will also visit them. Anyway, he opened an online shop at ebay. Do support him too.

First Stop: Breakfast at 大四喜(Taman Johor Jaya)

Detail of the place
Shop Name: 大四喜香港点心小厨
Address: 11 Jalan Dedap 4 Taman Johor Jaya (Rose Cottage Hotel)
Operating Hours: I am not sure. (according to forums they opened up to night)
GPS: TBC

金沙包 (Jin Sha Bao). It taste like 流沙包 (Liu Sha Bao).

 糯米鸡 (Luo mai gai)

鱼圆饼 (Fish cake)

炒萝卜糕 (Fried Carrot Cake)

排骨 (Rib Bone?)

黑胡椒燒卖 (Black Pepper Siew Mai)

燒卖 (Siew Mai)

腌肉包金针菇 (Bacon wrapped Enokitake)

芋圈包叉烧 (Yam Ring Wrapped Char Siew)

The chili is damn great with the dim sum. I heard this Chili can be buy off shelve from Malaysia. I shall packet it back to Singapore next time.

Dessert Time!!

巧克力泡芙饼 (Chocolate Eclair)

榴莲泡芙 (Durian Puff)

芒果布丁 (Mango Pudding)

Slightly expensive then normal dim sum at Johor but I would say taste wise is quite good.

Review: I always love going to Johor for dim sum breakfast. This place is packed with people, imagine I reached there at 11 plus am and we are still diverted to second floor. I heard from Ah Kun and Cui Yun that  大四喜 has quite a few branch and this branch is open not long ago. I like the cooling environment since there is aircon on the second floor. We did not manage to try their porridge and xiao long bao as it was sold out. I don’t deny I am disappointed the xiao long bao is sold out because this place opened till night and at 11am, something is sold out really is disappointing.

If you ask me, the lor mai gai taste average, I prefer it to be wetter with more sauce but Ah Kun likes it like that so I would say Lor Mai Gai is worth trying. For me, the must try is their 金沙包, 萝卜糕 and 火腿包金针菇. 金沙包 is also 流沙包 is smooth and delicious. I love how it is creamy and not too sweet. Next, though Ah Kun dun like the carrot cake but I love how soft it is. It melts in your mouth. The only thing I don’t like is the bean spout. Lastly is the bacon wrapped Enokitake. It looks like Japanese food but Japanese restaurant grill it. But here, they fried it! It is crispy and the savour salty is just the perfect match with the tasteless Enokitake.

Unlike normal dim sum place, they served dessert!! I swear that all the 3 dessert are my favourite. The Chocolate Eclair is not like normal ones, they add the icing on top of the chocolate to make it cuter and sweeter. The cream inside taste light too. Next is the durian puff, the durian mousse inside the puff is delicious and it has a generous amount. Once u bite, if you are not careful, the mousse will explode. :P Lastly, the pudding!! It taste thick and fruity. They are not using those cheap mango pudding to serve you. They are really putting effort on this pudding as well, the toppings are peeled grapes, jelly and fruits pulps. Overall, I am very satisfied with the dessert especially I find the dessert worth the money. I strongly recommend you to try their dessert if you are there.

Since we had our dim sum brunch, we skipped our lunch and had dinner earlier. After the dim sum, we went to Ah Kun’s place and all of us are playing Candy Crush. We played for 3 hours!! Talk about addiction.

We had Kinsahi for dinner.

Detail of the place
Shop Name: Kinsahi
Address: Lot F09,
AEON Bukit Indah Shopping Centre
No.8, Jalan Indah 15/2,
Bukit Indah, 81200 Johor Bahru,
Johor Darul Takzim.

The first dish I always try for Japanese food is Chawanmushi. I just love steamed eggs.

First Love Sushi.

Volcano Sushi.

Saba Shioyaki (If I am not wrong)

Tori Katsu Don

Review: I guess I don’t really need to review this place because I guess many had already tried this before. I been here quite a few times. If I were to choose between Sushi King and Kinsahi, it will confirm be this. I love how they innovate their sushi and it taste quite nice too. However, they do not have much other choices. I am particular that a Japanese restaurant must have Hotate!! The sad thing is they do not offer that. They do offer Bento and set meals which I guess is still quite alright for normal eaters.

I still not full after the main course so we went to have Baskin Robbin for ice cream!!

Chocolate Mousse Royale and Pralines `n Cream (2 scoop)

Strawberry “something” and Mint Chocolate Chip
