[Review] Benico 3D Sheet Mask Marine Collagen (moisturizing)

Posted on

Been trying to publish out some of the sponsored items that have been in my draft since few months back. I decided to post a short review on this mask that was raved by bloggers.

Today will he reviewing on Benico 3D Sheet Mask Marine Collagen (moisturizing) that is recently raved by lots of beauty blogger so I redeem this mask from the sample store.

My face before using the mask. I have only apply basic skincare (Toner, moisturiser and serum) before the application of mask.

The mask before taking out. Seems nice to me.

Filled with plenty of essences!~ The mask is very wet but not to the extend of dripping. There will still have residual of essences after the application of the mask.

The texture of the paper is very smooth and you can still see your skin when u use this mask. :)

After 15 – 20 minutes, the essences in the mask still did not dry out

My face immediately after the mask before patting the essences.

I torn my mask!!!

Review
I am disappointed in this mask as this mask is not as cheap as compare to Taiwan masks. I might be too harsh on this mask but I feel that paper mask are supposed to fit one’s face. I had a hard time trying to open it then after like 5 min and I then discovered that I torn the mask. I torn the center top part of the mask. It might be because I torn the mask, the mask seems to be unfit for my face. I have a very big face but the mask somehow still did not fit nicely. Since this mask is from Japan, I find that the nose is really too high for typical Asian.

I did not soak it as I was applying late at night before sleep so I did not warm this mask. The instruction did not mention that it is a compulsory to soak so I did not soak it in warm water. My skin did feel moisturized but I felt some stickiness while patting and massaging to let my skin absorbs the serum. I pat for 15 minutes and still feel a bit of sticky. However, once the essences dries out completely, my skin feels softer. I doubt I will buy this mask as I feel that there are better mask around with a cheaper price.

Haul from Sample Store and BHG

Posted on

I shall blog about the haul from the sample store and BHG last week.

My new found shopping place is BHG Alt. There is only 2 branch in Singapore so far. They are Clementi and Bugis BHG.

I have been crazy with lashes. I have been buying and not using them. I have only so far used my Daiso lashes. Since I have a problem with cutting them. I am scared to cut too much. T^T

Anyway, I bought another new Japanese Brand call the Jumily. This lashes is a Takahashi Maiko (Maichi) Production Brand. I bought the 02: 3 Way Eyes whereby the 2 sets of lashes is different and can create 3 look out of it. For those who do not know who is Maiko Takahashi. She is actually one of the model on Jelly.

She is pretty!~ I have not read Jelly before so I do not know her style of modeling.

This lashes contains 2 different type of lashes. One in more lengthy and the other is more voluminous.

The effect and the instruction for the lashes.

The direction of the usage of the lashes. I can’t really understand since it is in Japanese.

Next,  I bought a Beauty Box from The Sample Store. I shall post the photos of the content. I would say quite worth the price but there are some samples that I am unsure of its usage.

Total damage only S$7.73 only.

[Review] Cyber Colors – Eco Bb Aqua Balm with Spf30 Pa++ (Natural)

Posted on

I actually got this sample from The Sample Store since January 2011. I was excited to try since this sample given is in full size initially. However, after taking some shots with my camera, I decide to procrastinate on the review on this BB cream. The reason is because the shade looks kinda of dark. I am not not fair looking lady but even for me I feel it is dark. I got the Natural Shade which is the darker shade.

This BB cream come with only 2 shades, Natural and Ivory. I redeem the natural shade as I strongly believe I do not belong the the fair group. I also find the 2 shade seems a bit little shades to offer. However, on the other hand, I suddenly remembered that this is a BB cream. It is not supposed to have shade in the first place… :P

The packaging. I quite like their “Cyber Colors” Silver prints on the box. It is reflective too.

In case u wonder if they are “clearing” stock. Nope! The expiry date is up to June 2013

Usage Direction and Ingredient list @ the back of the box.

It comes with a free sponge for application. However, I did not use the sponge during the review. I use my ELF Foundation brush for the application.

I wonder why is the sticker not stick properly. :)

It comes with a mirror too. See the shade is dark right?

For those who can’t see from the previous photo. This is the shade that scares me off.

Before

My face without any form of foundation. I am sorry I look very in a shock. I know my face looks kinda of dark and dull.

Comparison

My favourite way to compare and see what this BB cream do to me. To my surprise it doesn’t look dark on my skin. It looks even lighter than my original skintone.

After

This is me with only BB cream on my face. I love the effect, it looks like I have flawless.

My Review
I did not expect that I will love this BB cream. I have been using BB cream even before it was launched in Singapore. I bought BRTC Jasmine BB cream from Korea Gmarket. I was the spree organiser then and one of my all time spree-er introduce me. From then on, I love it… I was quite fair at that point of time when I was schooling. I am currently work field base hence I got a tan skintone. I do not hate it but it makes most BB cream too fair for me. I have been searching BB cream since then and the only one that I can match my skintone is the skin79 one. In terms of shade, this BB cream makes me very satisfied and pleased with the result.

I applied the BB cream with brushes instead of sponge as I feel that sponge will take up more BB cream needed for usage and the BB cream will finish faster this way. I would say the first application was quite alright. I do not feel oily and it is easy to apply too. It does feel a bit sticky initially but after some blending with finger, the sticky feeling will be gone. In terms of coverage, I would say it does medium coverage. It can cover redness in my skin but it doesn’t cover black eye bags. Somehow I feel it enhance my skin’s natural glow. My skin looks brighter but not shimmery with oil kind of brightness.

The only sad thing was this BB cream doesn’t come with oil control. My oily combination skin become shinny after 2 hours and I have to blot off the excess oil.

Overall, I would still recommend this product ladies my normal tan skin.

[Advertorial] Bio Essence Bio Platinum BB Cream (10-in-1)

Posted on

Still remember my review on the Bio Essence Bio Multi-Effect BB Cream (8-in-1)?

Today I am going to try something even better. It sound better since it is 10-in-1!! But does more the merrier?

10-in-1 benefits are
1. revitalize the skin with Platinum*
2. Create a natural, nude makeup with a natural glow
3. Concealer
4. Makeup Base
5. Sun Block
6. Skin Repair
7. Oil Control
8. Hydration & Nourishment
9. Reduce Wrinkle and fine lines
10. Skin Whitening
* Effects not found in 8-in-1

This BB Cream contain tanaka extract is perfect to used as for whitening of the skin. This is very important because Asian are most susceptible to melanin-accumulation. Hence, we must never forget to use whitening products to prevent more melanin-accumulation.

In addition, it also contains Platinum which is a very rare ingredient that boosts the skin’s ability to protect itself against free radicals. To put it simple it means, Platinum has the ability to reducing wrinkles from forming on your skin.

These are the 2 additional ingredients and effects not found in the 8-in-1.

However, I have to admit that I did not like the shade as it is really too fair for me. I have to apply loose powder after the application of this BB cream. I find it more suitable for night base makeup but the whitening effect on me is not obvious since my skin is really that tan and I may need to apply it daily to see the effect. :)

Like the 8-in-1, it can also cover by blemish scare and it also give me a glow in my face. Did I mentioned that the smell is nice and not overwhelming? See how perfect my skin looks?

Like most ladies, I prefer BB cream as compared to traditional makeup. The right way of applying your beauty product to the foundation involves many steps like toner, moisturizer, essences, sunscreen, makeup base foundation, concealer, loose powder. I am one very lazy girl that loves 3-in-1 milo so when it comes to beauty, I like it all in 1 too. Not to forget that this 10-in-1 BB cream feels lighter than applying all the above mentioned ones. So it’s time to throw away your other beaut products.

If you did not manage to see the TV Commercia shown on TV, click the below youtube video for more info. Beatrice is Bio Essence spokesperson for this BB cream.
