First of all, I really think Pearlin for the invite to this workshop. I am really happy to get invited by Vichy again. I am guilty to say after that contest, I haven’t been using Vichy Normaderm Range. Not that the range is not good. Well, I am a beauty junkie so I have just too many other things to use.

I was actually slightly late due to some cropped up with my work. Lucky they only started at 7pm. This is the first time I went together with Pei Wen for an event. She reached earlier than me so she helped me choose my dinner.

I got Ham and Cheese Sandwich. I would say the bread is kinda of thick so it is hard to bite. But sandwich is delicious. The salad is good too but the cheese is better. I am not sure why too.

Sparkling Water was served. Indeed a very healthy dinner. That fits the image of Vichy Skincare.

Vichy believes Health is Beautiful. I do too. Without good health, there is no way your skin can be beautiful.

I am one of their Normaderm Zero Impectionist Final Contestant last year. Hence, I actually did a lot of reseach on Vichy. You can read the skin analysis that I did last year.

The purpose is the workshop is to promote on the Aqualia Thermal Aqua range and Eau Thermal Spa Water, In addition, they also change the Vichy Normaderm Night cream formulation to suit the Asian skin more. Lastly, Vichy is celebrating their 80th anniversary this year too!~

Brief Introduction of Vichy
Do you know that Vichy is actually a small town in the heart of France. What is so special about this town is they have a special spring and this spring is the main spa water source of all their products. Therefore all their products are made in France.

If you wonder why is their spa water so special? It contains 15 mineral salt and trace element. It is the most mineral concentrated water in France. The main reason that Vichy can only be produce in France is because this water is a “living water” and it cannot be reproduce as the ingredient is so pure and natural. It has soothing efficacy on sensitive skin and allow the skin to reinforced its natural defensive system.

The minerals content and the function of the minerals.

This Vichy Thermal Spa water slightly alkaline. However, it has the ability to neutralise the effect of external aggressors. That’s like amazing as other brands thermal spring water are unable to do it.

The main focus of this workshop is to introduce the Aqualia Thermal Range. This is actually a hydrating range specially cater to dehydrated skin caused by stress, pollution and climate change.

Like all Vichy Products, it also contains their legendary thermal spa water too. It also contains Aquabioryl and Hyaluronic Acid. Aquabioryl can capture and locks water molecules and leaves a smooth texture finish on your skin during and after application. As Hyaluronic Acid, I guess most people are familiar with it. It can penetrate into your skin and protect it from harmful effects. In addition, it also locks water in the skin and create a protective firm on your skin which acts as a barrier against water loss from skin cell.

I actually bought Aqualia Thermal Light Gel after my Normaderm contest. Because seems like my skin became dehydrated due to my indoor and outdoor job then. I love the texture and I would say one jar can really last you a long time. Since I usually alternate my skincare and I still have more than half a jar.

Aqualia Thermal Eye Roll On. This is to be used under your eyes.

It is a transparent liquid texture that is easily absorbed by the eyes. I hope the photos are clear enough bec after it was “roll” on Pei Wen’s hands, It disappeared leaving the skin hydrated.

I am relatively proud that this is one of my mask method I did for the contest last year. Hence, I decided to link it with this blog post again.

However when I re-watch this video that I made last year, I just can’t stop wondering how come my expression looks kinda of weird. But anyway, I am proud that this method that I did last year was used in this workshop! No doubt this method is inspire by Saeki Chizu while I was reading her book at that time. But I am happy that it works very well with Vichy Thermal Water.

The mask is actually light blue but seems like the camera unable to take the blue tone. It has a pleasant smell and not oily.

I really enjoyed this workshop. I learned a lot more on Vichy’s other range. Previously I have tried their Normaderm range. I can’t wait to try the goodies given in the press pack!~
